Department of Supervision Evaluation and Dispute Resolution, Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) is set up to audit and evaluation of national environmental affairs and processing and determination of public nuisance petition cases, which is in charge of seven major services, including processing of important control projects in EPA, processing of control project items in Executive Yuan, processing of control project items in EPA, evaluation of performance of local environmental agencies, tracking of official documents, supervision of promotion of public construction, and supervision of private participation in infrastructure projects. To manage the service cases effectively, EPA executes the project, “Updating of the database of tracking and control cases and maintenance of management“, to update the original system. The achievements of this project are as follows: 1.Updating the system function to conform to the practical application procedure, the supervision range of the cases includes processing of important control project s by EPA, processing of control project events by Executive Yuan, processing of control project events by EPA, supervision of local environmental agencies, tracking of official documents, supervision of promotion of public construction, and supervision of private participation in infrastructure projects. And to evaluate performance of environmental protection service center on environmental affairs. 2.Strengthening the system operation, and helping users done the job more effectively. Furthermore, the system is designed to be more flexible, with the slight adjustment of the system can fit the future needs easily. 3.Expanding functions of the system and strengthening portal website, and providing more integrated user interface. As for information security, the system is modified and strengthened to follow the information security rules adopted by EPA. The system also provides the functions including tracking and querying of the case information, alert, and single sign on. Hence this is an integrated website with web and database query. 4.In order to popularize the developed system, and make the users and managers be familiar with the design concept, system operation and maintenance, system infrastructure, and system management, our team provides system development documents, manuals, and three education trainings for future operation. 5.To avoid data loss, the data in the original database has been verified before importing to the new database.
